The hotels listed in this Website are selected and reviewed on the basis of recommendation and client feedback

Wherever possible, prices shown are lower than the 'walk in' rates published by the hotels. Booking with us is often more economical than booking direct. Also, if your hotel is booked as part of a tour package, which can include car hire, airport welcome and transfers or excursions etc, we can offer an 'all inclusive', package price.

Room rates can change depending upon the time of year and during public holidays. We will provide a guaranteed quotation on receipt of a request stating the name of the hotel, the type of room, arrival date and duration.

What is an 'S' Class Hotel?

'S' or Special Class hotels are usually in renovated and converted historical buildings, or new buildings that cannot be categorized using the normal star rating system. The standard of accommodation and service can range from simple to luxury.

Price is the best measure of standard, a double room can cost from $35 to $400 per night.

Why are there very few Pensions and One Star Hotels in the
 Hotel Directory Turkey?

It is not the policy of the Hotel Directory Turkey to exclude budget accommodation, however the standard of accommodation offered at this level can vary considerably. Within this category there is relatively little control over the maintenance of standards of comfort and service. In order for us to be able to recommend pensions and one star hotels, we have to be able to verify accommodation standards and that the standards are being maintained.

In the Bodrum region, where we are based we are able to offer pension and one star hotel accommodation, in other areas, budget accommodation is only included on the basis of user recommendation. We will add new properties in other areas as they become available.

  What are the Hotel Standards in Turkey, and how do they compare internationally?

The criteria used to categorize hotels in Turkey is the same as that used internationally, star ratings range from one to five stars. Pension accommodation generally provides accommodation at the one star category level, often in family run hotels offering personal service. See also 'S' Class Hotels.

The number of stars a hotel is awarded is based on the facilities and accommodation provided, however, the level of service and standard of comfort, at any star rating level, can vary considerably in Turkey. This is especially true in holiday resorts, where some four and five star hotels offer a level of service and comfort below normal accepted international standards.

To ensure that you receive an unbiased opinion, there is no substitute to booking through an accredited travel agency that can offer accommodation recommended and vetted on the basis of user feedback.
